Hello, friends and Happy Friday! Last weekend, I was enjoying all the wonderful people and creative energy at the Simon Says Stamp Create event in Columbus. I had the most amazing time! For whatever reason, I kept gravitating towards all the patterned paper that I saw there. I think I bought four or five paper pads! Today, I am sharing two cards that I made with some of that new paper. Specifically, I am using some really fun paper from La-La Land Crafts. I combined the paper with the Postage Collage dies from Waffle Flower, and I think it’s just the ultimate combo! These cards make me smile, and I hope they do the same for you.

I have a new video on YouTube showing how these cards came together. You can CLICK HERE to go directly to YouTube, or you can watch it below.

I created my first card with the SUPER fun Night City Paper Pack. This paper is just amazing! If you have any super hero or comic themed products, this paper is perfect. However, don’t let patterned paper put you in a box. I actually used it for a graduation card, and I think it turned out great! I used one of the Postage Collage dies from Waffle Flower to create the “stamps” that I then popped up on my card panel. Waffle Flower has been expanding its amazing Postage Collage Collection, and there are now many different sizes of these dies. I used the A6 Die

For the balloons, I used the Birthday Balloons set from Spellbinders. These dies are from that fun Monster Birthday Collection that came out in January. Whenever I make graduation cards, I almost always reach for this Grad Party Stamp Set, and this card was no exception. In my video, you can see the fun sentiment that I also stamped on the inside of the card. I used a different postage-shaped die to cut out the main sentiment because I didn’t have a matching die for it. That’s why I love partial die cutting!

My second card features the Countryside Paper Pack from La-La Land Crafts. I just can’t say enough about this paper pack. If you ever wanted to create a scene card, but you’ve been intimidated by the idea of coloring one yourself, this is the perfect solution. There are so many big scenes that are ready for adorable sheep, cows, chickens…you name it! Because I was using some of the smaller scenes on my stamps, I chose to add tiny critters in the form of Lawn Fawn mice. These cuties are from the Dandy Day stamp set. This set has been sitting in my stash since I bought it, so I am happy that this paper inspired me to finally use it!

You can see that I used patterned paper and the A6 Postage Collage die in different ways on my two cards. And that is because these dies are so versatile! I also used the Postage Collage Stamp Set on this second card for all the little details on my stamps. This is the original stamp set that Waffle Flower released. There are now many more versions in the collection, along with amazing stencils.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
