Hello again, friends! I am excited to be participating in an Instagram Hop today celebrating the Sweetheart Release from Simon Says Stamp! For details on how to participate in the Hop, CLICK HERE to go to my Instagram page.

I have a video to share with you, which shows how I made my card today. Instead of attempting to describe today’s technique in writing, I really encourage you to watch the video to see how I used this die for stamping. You can CLICK HERE to view the video on YouTube or watch it below.

My card features the new Whirl Diamond Plate. You may have already seen the first card that I made with this die in my blog post from the other day. I had so many other ideas on how to use this plate, but the one I used today is something that hadn’t immediately come to mind. This die is just a lot more versatile than it would first appear. It can be used to just add texture to a card, or as I show today, it can be used for fun techniques.

I finished the card with the Layered Perky Flower, which I lightly ink blended with the same colors as the Whirl Diamond Plate. The sentiment comes from the Reverse All the Love Sentiment Strips, which were part of last month’s Smitten Release. I also added a corresponding color jewel in the middle of each oval of the design.

I hope this card and technique bring a smile to your face. Be sure to check out all of the other products that are in the Sweetheart release. And be sure to check out the Instagram hop, so that you can see all of the inspiration from the other designers. Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. This is really pretty… unusual for the range of color and the geo design combined w/ the floral. Lovely!
