Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend. I was out for awhile on a road trip, and I am now back and trying to get into the swing of things. I haven’t had time to create much, but I wanted to finish up a video that I started a few weeks ago.

In my video today, I share two cards that I made with the Mod Leaf Cling Stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I finished one of these cards in early October, and I just recently finished the other one. You can view my video below or head directly over to YouTube

For both cards, I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the Mod Leaf Cling Stamp. I used a combination of OLO and Copic markers for both cards. For this first card, I used the following colors:

  • OLO – BG2.1, YO2.3, R0.4, V4.3, YG2.5, OR1.3
  • Copic – YG63, YG95, BG72

Once I was finished coloring, I restamped the image with black pigment ink to make the lines bold and sharp. I used a sentiment that I had previously heat embossed onto vellum and never used. The sentiment is from the Hi There Greetings stamp set. I just had to add a new frame so that it was wide enough for the look I wanted. I created the frame with partial die cutting and my A2 Layers die set

For my second card, I colored each leaf using 5 different shades of each color. Again, I used a combination of OLO and Copic markers. The colors that I used are below:

  • Red – OLO R0.2, R0.3, R0.4, R0.5, R0.6
  • Orange – OLO O2.2, OR1.3, Copic YR02, YR07, YR09
  • Yellow – OLO Y1.2, Y2.3, Copic Y11, Y17, YR24
  • Green – OLO YG2.1, YG2.3, YG2.5, Copic YG17, YG67
  • Turquoise  – BG2.1, BG2.3, BG2.4, BG2.7, Copic BG49
  • Blue – OLO B4.3, Copic B21, B24, B26, B29
  • Purple – OLO V1.1, V2.6, Copic V12, V06, V17

I fussy cut the leaves out in two groups and then glued them on a white panel so that they looked continuous. The sentiment is from the Big Old Birthday Stamp Set. This card is a non-standard slimline size (7.75″ x 3.5″), but it will fit nicely into a slimline envelope.

I hope these cards put a smile on your face! I had a lot of fun making both of these. Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
