Hello, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It flew by and now it’s almost September! What???! I finally sat down on Saturday and remade a card that I had originally created a few weeks ago. I wasn’t happy with it but didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it until this weekend. Am I getting more indecisive as I get older? Is that a thing? Or more picky? Whatever it is, it seems like I’m doing an awful lot of disassembling and reconstruction lately. While there are still probably things that I would change about this card (including the color palette), I am a lot happier with the second version. You can see the whole process unfold in my latest YouTube video. You can view that below or CLICK HERE to go directly to YouTube.

For my card today, I used the new Envelope of Wonder Die Set  from Spellbinders. This is a really large die set that also has three different add-on die sets. Spellbinders sells all 4 sets as a bundle with discount pricing. Most of what you see on my card is from the actual die set. I did do some embossing with the Tiny Dots Embossing Folder. I hot foiled my sentiments with black opaque foil. The “Hello Friend” comes from the Everyday Sentiments II hot foil set, and the secondary sentiment comes from the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments Hot Plates.

The picture above shows what my card originally looked like. I feel like it had so many flowers in so many places that your eye didn’t know where it was supposed to focus. That, coupled with the white card base and the different angles fighting against each other, is what made me want to improve it.

What do you think? Do you like the original, or do you think it was time well spent to improve it? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for visiting today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
