Hello, friends! I hope you’re all doing well. Can you believe it’s June already?? I know it’s early in the month still, but there is a fun new release from Spellbinders called Whimsical Village. This collection was designed by one of my very favorite designers – Vicky Papaioannou. She creates the most amazing art journal layouts, and this collection is just perfect for that! My project today features the Whimsical Houses and Village Companions, along with a sentiment from the Whimsical Wishes Stamp Set. I thought the houses would be the perfect centerpiece for a bridge card. and that’s what I will be sharing today.

NEW VIDEO

Let’s move on to my card for today, which is featured in my new video. You can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube, or you can view it below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the  Spellbinders UK website.

My bridge card came together quite easily. It fits into an A7 envelope and measures 4.75″ x 6″ when folded. I used some heavy patterned paper from my stash to create both the card base and the hill. My score lines to create the bridge card base were 1 3/4″ and 7/8″ on each side. It is very helpful to watch the video to see how easy the process was.

The houses are from the Whimsical Houses set. The sun, clouds and dog are from the Village Companions. I cut all the elements from colored cardstock. I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Whimsical Wishes Stamp Set. I think this card would be a fabulous gift for someone moving into a new home!

There is an embossing folder in this collection, too – the Whimsical Skies 3D Embossing Folder. I share a fun way to ink it up in today’s video, but stay tuned as I will be sharing the finished card in an upcoming video.

I hope this card brings a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
