Hello, friends! I hope you’re all doing well. I am popping in with a new video, taking a closer look at a few cards that I had briefly shared with the introduction of my Summer Camp Collection with Spellbinders. I have two cards that feature ink blended scenes, and while the critters remain the “stars”, these backgrounds are close contenders! If you haven’t seen the introduction that I did for this collection, you can view the video HERE on YouTube.

The Summer Camp Collection consists of five die sets, one layering stencil set, and a sentiment stamp set.

This card is all about that night scene! This was just good old ink blending with some Distress Inks. You can see the colors that I used in the video, but obviously, I relied heavily on yellow, orange, and blues, and even a bit of red. For the grass, I used a die from the Torn Paper Edges set instead of a more traditional grass edge. This card features the following products from the new collection:

This second card consists of two different scenes. The first is the highlighted scene on the postage stamp, which is from the Lakeside Memories stencil. I showed the basic stenciling of this in my introduction video, but in this new video, I show how to step it up with some additional shading techniques. I also ink blended the background scene of the lake and beach. Note that both of these cards today are 5×7.

This card features the following products from the new collection:

I hope this collection and these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
