Hello, friends! I am always excited when Spellbinders releases a new collection from Yana Smakula, and the new Let’s Celebrate Collection is no exception. My cards today will be featuring the following products from this amazing collection:

This collection includes several BetterPress plates, but even if you don’t have the BetterPress machine, you’ll love foiling with the plates. That’s what I do, and they foil beautifully! All of my cards below that use the Floral Celebration Press Plate were foiled.

I have a lot of cards to share, and I have a new video sharing the process for three of those cards. (Details for all of the cards are below). You can CLICK HERE to view the video on YouTube or watch it below.

Note: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features all three products: the Peony Celebration Die Set, the Floral Celebration Press Plate, and the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments. Note that the Floral Celebration Press Plate is sold separately or as a bundle with the matching layering stencils. The stencils only come as a bundle with the plate, and you can see how the stencils work on my last two cards below. This is the first card I made in the video, so you can see how I did the die cut inlay for this one. Although the plates in this collection are Betterpress Plates, I do use them with my hot foil machine. They foil beautifully! I talk about which foil colors I used in the video.

I also mentioned in the video that I would list all of the inks that I used for shading and stenciling today. All of the inks are Pinkfresh Studio inks, and the ones that I used for shading on this first card are: Candy Violet, Sweet Mustard, and Waterfall. And by the way, I made an error in the video. I used two of my favorite Waffle Flower shader plus brushes for my shading, and I accidentally stated in the video that I was using the 1+ brush when it was actually the 2+ brush. The 2+ brushes are my favorite!

My second card also features die cut inlay and uses the Peony Celebration Die Set  and the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments. I love how the main sentiments in this set come with matching dies! This card is very similar to a card that I made with the Poinsettia Bloom die set (also designed by Yana Smakula), although I have a faster and easier way of shading all of those little pieces now! You can see the video I made last year for the Poinsettia Bloom by CLICKING HERE. For shading my light blue card stock on this card, I used Pinkfresh Studio Ocean Breeze and Waterfall inks.

I love this  Peony Celebration Die Set  so much that I made a third card with it. This one is much more bold and graphic, and I love it! You’ll notice that I used the shadow layer for this card and the first card. The background for this card was made with the Tiny Dots Embossing Folder, and the “hello” sentiment is from the Wonderful Script Sentiments Die Set. This die set is also from Yana Smakula!

My next card features the Floral Celebration Press Plate and Stencil Bundle along with the birthday sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments. I just love how easy it is to make a fabulous card. Watch the video to see how quickly this card comes together! The Pinkfresh Studio inks that I used for this card are:

  • Sheer Freesia
  • Hydrangea
  • Limoncello
  • Ocean Breeze
  • Turquoise

My last card also features the Floral Celebration Bundle along with a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate Sentiments. I always find it amazing how a different color palette can make something look completely different, even though it’s basically the same exact card! The Pinkfresh Studio inks that I used for this card are:

  • Cherry Blossom
  • Peony
  • Sweet Mustard
  • Fresh Pear
  • Olive

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave a comment and let me know which one is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
