Hello, friends! I am so excited to be sharing my first set of cards using the March 2024 Spellbinders Monthly Clubs ! It is not often that you can combine two of your passions, so as a long-time Harry Potter fan, I was so excited to see the Small Die of the Month kit. This month’s kit is called “Wise Owl,” and I just knew I had to make the owl into Hedwig! Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, I hope you’ll find some inspiration from today’s cards.

I will also be using the Large Die of the Month kit on my third card, which you’ll see below. I think this month’s clubs are going to be really popular, so if you love one of the clubs, order it before it goes out of stock! One of my favorite aspects of the clubs is that you can cancel at any time. If you don’t like the club kit next month, just cancel it! The subscription window for new members ends on the 27th of the month, assuming that the club kit(s) has not already sold out.

There is a new club for 2024 called the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club. This club is offered at an exceptional value and includes all ten clubs PLUS a bonus item. For March, the bonus item is the “Exclusive Fairy Tales Die Set”. It is only available to members of this Deluxe Club. I will use that die later in the month.

The Small Die of the Month  for March is called “Wise Owl.” This kit features an owl and some books. The owl would look adorable in so many color combinations, but like I mentioned above, I made all of my owls today into Hedwig. Since Hedwig is a snowy white owl, I used white and off-white card stock for the main features of the owl. I used some Harry Potter themed scrapbook paper that has been in my drawer for years to make a tag. All of today’s cards (and tag) feature the Reverse Magical Wishes sentiment strips from Simon Says Stamp. They were just the perfect touch for each project!

Along with the Small Die of the Month, my second card features the Envelope of Wonder. I started this project thinking that I was only going to make the envelope be the card itself, but I just had to use this patterned paper in the background. This is from a 6×6 paper pack called “Fine Print” and is one of the many gorgeous, new Paper Rose collections that Spellbinders now carries in its online store!  After aging the paper with some distress ink, I adhered it to a 6×6 card base, so yes, this is a large card. I can’t wait to give it to someone special! Note that the broom is not from this month’s kit. This was actually from a large die kit from 2023 called Boo-licious Fall Cupcake, which is still available on the website.

My final card is a slimline card featuring the books from the March Large Die of the Month, which is called “Classic Tales.” Along with dies to cut the books, this kit also has a little house and trees to create a fairy tale scene. I will try to use those other dies later in the month because they are so sweet. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, then you may notice how many books are on my card! And of course, Hedwig is at the top, this time wearing her little Gryffindor scarf.

I hope these cards put a smile on your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
