Hello, friends! I am excited to share several cards featuring some new products from the Simon Says Stamp October 2023 release called “ Season of Wonder.” In case the name doesn’t give it away, there are a lot of holiday products in this release! Tis the season, right? I know STAMPtember just ended, but I actually look forward to Simon’s October releases because it always seems like there are more holiday goodies in October. And, I don’t know about you, but I am in full holiday card making mode. That includes Halloween and Autumn, which is my favorite season.

Details for each of my cards are below. I also have a new YouTube video where I show how I made the first card. I also give some tips on using layering stamps You can view today’s video below or head over to YouTube.

Note: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features the Fresh Air Holiday Tree Stamp and Die Set. This is a layering stamp set. There are three stamps that create the tree, so I made my first tree with a trio of green inks that are part of the new Green Trees Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cube Set.  There is another set of ink cubes that is part of this release, which is called Red Berries. Green trees and red berries? Like I said, tis the season! For the other trees on my card, I used a trio of inks from the Purple Fields set and a trio from the Yellow Sunsets set. It’s not often that you see purple and orange trees, right? I think it’s fun to experiment with layering stamps. That’s actually one of the tips that I give in my video! I adhered my trees to a panel that I had embossed with the Circle Hoops Embossing Folder

My second card features the amazing Mod Leaf Cling Stamp. I stamped it with alcohol-friendly ink so that I could color with my OLO markers. I chose various shades of each color and created a rainbow of leaves for my card. My card is almost the size of a typical slimline card, but the cling stamp is not as wide. So, I colored two rows of the stamp and then cut them apart to line up on my card. The sentiment comes from the Big Old Birthday Stamp Set. I finished the card with a few Rainbow Splash Gem Stickers that I added to the corresponding color of leaves.

My next card features the new Fireworks Embossing Folder, which I used to emboss this vibrant piece of paper from the Color Blend Cardstock Assortment. I then used a sanding block to rub the raised edges created from the embossing folder. Because this paper is glossy paper with a white core, the sanding reveals the white underneath. I love how it just made those fireworks pop! I cut the “You Shine” words from black glossy card stock and adhered them to a white shadow created from the same die set. The cute little subsentiment comes from the Reverse Gratitude Sentiment Strips

My last card features the beautiful Willow Snowflake Die. I tried to do something a little different with this die. You can see the actual snowflake die in the picture above, but you’ll also see that the center is missing on the snowflake on my card. I cut that part out so that I could add a sentiment in the middle. The words come from the Joyful Frame Die. I used the other trio of green inks from the new Green Trees ink cube set to ink blend my panel. I hope to have a video soon where I show how I made this card!

I hope these cards put a smile on your face today. Be sure to check out all of the other goodies and inspiration from the new Season of Wonder Release! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
