Hello, friends! I’m excited to be participating in the STAMPtember® 2023 Blog Party for Simon Says Stamp! If you’re not familiar with what STAMPtember® is, it is a month long celebration of stamping and creating. Simon Says Stamp kicks off the celebrations each year by releasing their collection of goodies on September 1st. You can see all of Simon’s new releases here. Throughout the month, they also release exclusive products that are made in collaboration with other companies. These are always very popular, and once they’re gone, they’re gone! There may be other surprises throughout the month, so stay tuned!

Simon is also offering several exclusive promotions. See the graphic and promo code below for the Birthday Wishes die FREE with a $30+ purchase!* To redeem this gift, just add the Birthday Wishes Die to your cart, and then add the promo code BWDS at checkout. NOTE: there are other promotions, and you can only use one per order, so figure out which one you want to use by visiting all the designers’ blogs! For a list of all the designers, head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Today, I am sharing another Halloween card – this time, it’s a shaker card. If you missed my post from yesterday, CLICK HERE to see the other cards that I have made with the new STAMPtember® collection. I do have a YouTube video for today’s card – you can view that below or head over to YouTube.

Note: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My card for today features the new Happy Happy Halloween Die  and the new  Friendly Ghosts Stamp Set.  This is a layering stamp set that I also used on yesterday’s card. This time, I only inked up the hat. The purple colors on the hat are thanks to the the brand new set of Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes! This is the Purple Fields set.

The sub sentiment on this card comes from the Reverse Witch Please Sentiment Strips set. I filled my shaker with lots of large sequins in purples, oranges, greens and a few clear and sparkly bits. One thing I did do that I didn’t mention in my video is that I added a few highlights to the hat with my white gel pen.

I hope this card puts a smile on your face today. Don’t forget to watch the video to see how it all came together. Be sure to check out all of the inspiration from the other designers who are participating in the Blog Party. Remember that you can find a list on the Simon Says Stamp blog. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. This shaker card is very cute. The sequins behind the letters was a great idea, and I agree…no centers for the letters. It looks better that way. Both of your cards are really nice, and I look forward to seeing more from you!👋🏽😊

  2. Cute shaker card. Love the Halloween colors you used for the shaker bits – all my favorite Halloween colors. Love that it’s so full of bits, too. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Thanks for including the video instruction. I’m a visual learner and reading instructions isn’t my thing! Love how the card turned out, and I’m glad you didn’t add the little pieces inside the letters!

  4. Love this card. I’m not much on Halloween, but it’s really a goodie! Love all those sequins.

I am delighted with your card.

  6. Such a fun shaker card. Your added touches on the hat, the filled shaker area and ultimately leaving off the inside parts of the letters really let us be part of your design process.

  7. The hat really made a big difference on the card. Thank you for the idea, sometimes it is the little things that really change up the card.

  8. Your card is so cute, it would make an adorable invitation to a Halloween party. The card both says and expresses your sentiment of “Let’s Party” SO CUTE !!!

    1. Thank you so much, Ginger! That is a great idea, and it would be easy to do multiples if you just ink blended a background to go behind the letters vs. making multiple shakers.

  9. Great shaker card!! I agree that the letters did not need the centers!! It shows off the delicious shaker bits!! I keep going shopping instead of finishing the hop! LOL!! Thanks for all of the inspiration and fun process video!! LOVE it and am your newest follower here!! Beverly Jordan @jordanbev5
