Hello, Friends. Today, I’m sharing a card that I made for MFT’s 2021 Card Design Superstar contest in the Clean and Simple category. MFT was one of the first stamp companies that I started buying products from, and it continues to comprise the largest percentage of my stash! I had so many ideas for a CAS card, but in the end, I had to use one of my favorite stamp sets – Harvest Mouse.

Making the Card
I started out by stamping the mouse on Bristol smooth card stock with Versafine ink, making sure to mask the barrel of apples off as I was inking up the stamp. I cut the image out with the matching die and colored it with my ZIG markers. I then die cut the band-aid and colored that with the ZIG markers and did the same with the little hearts from the Tag Builder die set.
I created a 4.25″ square white card base and used the Staggered Hearts stencil to dry emboss the hearts onto the front of the card base. I cut another piece of white card stock with the stitched square die.
Once all of my elements were ready, assembly was pretty straightforward. The most challenging part was making it look like the mouse was holding the band-aid. I cut the excess part off the top of the mouse where the apple barrel would have stamped, and then I carefully cut around the mouse’s hand so that it could go in front of the band-aid. I stamped the sentiment onto black card stock and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut the sentiment apart to make it look a little more whimsical on the card.
And that’s it for my card today! Is it Clean and Simple? I don’t know. I struggle a bit with CAS cards because I either do too little or too much. Maybe the little hearts pushed it over the edge. But either way, I am in love with this cute card. Thank you so much for joining me today.
Wishing you all a crafty day!
Allison
