Hello, friends! There are two crafty things I realized I was already behind on this year: building up a stash of holiday cards and cards to send to my son when he’s away at camp. I just recently bought some stamps from My Favorite Things during a sale (yay!) and decided to put them to use.

I love when a card comes together this easily. Part of that is because I knew exactly what I wanted to do before starting. That’s not always the case! The first thing I did was press Versamark ink through the stencil onto a panel of white card stock. I then took two colors of embossing glaze – Broken China and Speckled Egg – and sprinkled them over the panel, making sure that the colors mixed in various places. I heat embossed it with my heat gun and ended up with this great background.

The rest was pretty easy from there. I colored my image with Copic Markers, heat embossed the sentiment onto black card stock and adhered these onto the panel. I did cut the panel down so that there would be a nice white margin when placed onto my white A2 card panel. To finish the card, I added a few stamped hearts that I found in the Beast Friends Stamp Set. There are so many tiny stamps that are included in our bigger stamp sets, so I encourage you to put those to use.

I love how this card turned out, and I know it will make my son smile when he receives it this summer. Thank you so much for joining me, and I’ll see you next time!

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
