Hello, friends! I hope you’re doing well. What happened to October?! I can’t believe it’s already over. I guess time flies when you’re having fun, and that’s what I have been doing. Trying, at least. Today, I am sharing a really fun card that mashes up different products and different techniques, including an interactive feature. I used the adorable raccoons from the Merry Mayhem collection along with several elements from the Make It & Bake It collection. My card features the following main die sets:

My card today started with the raccoons from the Deck The Dumpster set. As soon as I saw the one diving in the dumpster, I just knew I wanted to put him in a bowl of food. And that’s where the Magic Mixer set comes in! This big bowl is the perfect size for the raccoon to dive into. And what is in the bowl? Banana batter which was, of course, inspired by the little banana peel that comes in the Deck the Dumpster set. I also used the mixer itself from the Magic Mixer set.
The second raccoon from the Deck The Dumpster set cracks me up, and I knew I had to do something special with him, too. So, I put him on the scale from the Measure Mates set. And this is where the interactive feature comes into play. The dial spins thanks to a small Card Spinner from Spellbinders.
Other elements that I added include a little recipe card, which is from the Happy Post Envelope set, and some little drip details from the Just Add Cake Birthday Card Making Kit. The funny sentiment is from the Snack Goals Stamp Set. After filming, I did end up adding a sentiment from the same set on the inside, which says “Birthdays Happen, treats help”.
Because there are so many element on the card, I needed a longer panel. I decided to take a die from the new Ripple Rectangle Frames set and create my own slimline panel using partial die cutting. You can see how I achieved this in the video. The white panel turned out to be just a tad longer than 8″, and it is 3.25″ tall. The overall card size is 8.5″ x 3.75″, just perfect to fit into a slimline envelope.
This card was so much fun to make, and I hope it brings a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
