Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am back from vacation and slowly getting back into the craft room. It’s always a challenge to find your mojo after time away, so that’s when I tap into things that will inspire me. Obviously, new goodies are always inspiring, but sometimes you just need a jumping off point. For me, that is patterned paper or specialty paper. I have several cards to share today that feature products from both Hero Arts and Spellbinders. Specifically, the new Very Merry Collection from Hero Arts and the Spooktacular Collection from Spellbinders.

Today’s cards feature the following main products:

SPELLBINDERS SALE!

Spellbinders is currently running a sale of select Glimmer and BetterPress Products at up to 50% off! This includes sentiments, background plates, and images and even includes plates from Altenew and Pinkfresh Studio! This sale is only while supplies last and ends on August 24th, 2025 at 11:59 MST. So many great products on sale and too many to list, but here are a few of my favorites:

HERO ARTS SALE!

Get $25 off $125 purchase PLUS free shipping.

Since I am just easing back into things, I don’t have a video ready for today, but I will hopefully have one soon, along with more cards. Stay tuned!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

For my first card, I used the adorable Boo Crew die set from the Spellbinders Spooktacular Collection. These ghosts are so fun, and I love all of their props, which made me think of those fun photo booths that you find at parties. I grabbed the polaroid shaped die from the Memory Frames die set and backed it with some old patterned paper from my stash. This colorful striped paper from the Just Sayin’ 12 x 12 Paper Pack was my inspiration for the color story (the hats, ties, glasses, etc). This paper pack is also available in a 6×6 pad, with all of the same patterns but in smaller scale. I have both, but I liked the larger stripes of the 12×12 size.

My second card features the Bewitched die set, also from the Spooktacular Collection. For the color inspiration, I used a Doodlebug paper pad that I just recently bought. This is the Butterfly Kisses 6×8 paper pad, which just goes to show you that you don’t need to use Halloween themed paper or even colors to make an adorable Halloween card. I did steal the bowtie and the pumpkin bucket from the Boo Crew die set. The white panel is from the Perfect Touch Rectangles set, and the sentiment is from an oldie but a goodie – the now retired Boo Dance Party Sentiments stamp set. This card just makes me smile!

My third card features the Snowflake Star Die Set from the Hero Arts  Very Merry Collection. The inspiration for this masculine-ish holiday card came from the newest box (Box 12) from Your Paper Insider.  I finally found time to open it and do an unboxing. I will try to have a video soon. I was instantly drawn to these papers, and the card came together really quickly after that. I used the “Wood Kogagami” paper for the main panel and cut the star shape into it. I popped this panel up on foam tape over the “Denim Mohawk Renewal” paper. I cut the snowflake from the “Amber Stardream” paper, which has a beautiful, subtle shimmer. There is a fun stencil set that coordinates with this die set, which allows you to create a really fun background of your own.

For the sentiment, I used the new Modern Holiday Greetings Stamp & Cut set. I love the clean fonts of these sentiments. There is a stamp set available without the dies, as well. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto the denim paper.

I call this card masculine-ish because I just had to add a little bit of bling! I used some of my favorite embellishments – the glitter drops from Pinkfresh Studio. I chose both the Champagne and Starry Sky colors to add some tone on tone shine.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. I will be back soon with more paper inspiration! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
