Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am back in my craft room after a short hiatus and vacation, and I’m excited to be sharing some cards featuring the new Hello Sunshine Release from Waffle Flower! This is another fabulous collection featuring a lot of new dies, but there is big news because it also includes some new grip mats!

My first card features the new Floral Anchor Die. All of the floral pieces that you see come with the set. I chose to use patterned paper for this fun nautical themed card, and I just wanted crisp white die cut flowers to go with it. The red frame is from the new Nesting Piercing Ticket Frames Die. I finished the card with a fun sentiment from the new Subsentiments Coastal Diecut set.
My second card features the fun Inquisitive Crab Die. How cute is she? I chose to go with a somewhat realistic crab color, but there is so much fun to be had with this set. Be sure to watch the video to see how this crab can be placed in the corner of a card for a totally different look. I used the new Nesting Piercing Squares Die set to create the pierced frame for this shaker card. The background for this card is the new Two-step Mixed Stripes Stencil. I used a very tone on tone color combo to tie in with my crab, but this is a very easy stencil set to create a whole bunch of different colored stripes.
I stenciled the background for this card using the new “black” grip mat! Again, you can check out the video where I talk all about the new grip mats. As far as I know, these will be the three sizes offered going forward. As you may know, I keep the other two sizes of grip mats in my MISTI’s – I rarely, if ever, remove them. I use my mats every day, and they are probably my number one most useful product for card making.
