Hello, friends! I am thrilled to be joining Spellbinders today for a blog hop celebrating the May clubs. The clubs this month are so fun –  CLICK HERE to check them out! There is still time to sign up – you have until May 27th.

Each stop along the hop will feature a different club. I will be sharing the Large Die of the Month with you.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

The Large Die of the Month for May is called “Spell It Out Fridge.” You can tell that I have had a lot of fun with this set! If you haven’t already seen the first card that I made, you can scroll down to the end of this post to see both the inside and outside of that card. You can also watch me make it in my YouTube Video. Since I created another long sentiment for today’s card, I used the same process as I did for making that first one. This includes attaching all of the letters at once using Press’n Seal. The only thing that I did differently on this card is that I attached the flap/tab of the pink piece to the back of the white piece. For my original card, I attached the flap to the front of the white piece. It’s much cleaner the way I did it for today’s card, and that’s just part of making cards! You make a card, and you learn what you would want to do differently on the next one.

The best part about this club kit is in the name – Spell It Out. There are just so many fun sentiments to create with these small letters. I have seen some really cute ones where people had short phrases and lots of the other elements (lists, magnets, apples, polaroids). And then there’s me with the really long phrases! I do love the other elements in this kit, though. I especially adore the tiny polaroid. On my first card, I found some tiny stamps in my stash to stamp on the polaroids. I did the same thing for today’s card, but this time I also colored the little images. Both of the stamps that I used for today’s card come from an old stamp set from Mama Elephant called “Little Edibles”. These are the little details that I love doing!

For the inside of my card, I continued the sentiment and the humor, while keeping it pretty simple. The wine bottles are part of the add-on set called Spell It Out Fridge Staples. This set is available to non-club members. There are a lot of other fun dies in this add-on. You can check out more of what’s included in that set on my original card (see below)
