Hello, friends! Today is the start of the June Release for Waffle Flower Crafts, and the big news is that the grip mats have gotten an update. I talk all about it in my new video on YouTube (see below), but essentially they have re-released the grip mats with a new vendor, and they have replaced the smallest and largest mats with new sizes. There is also an update to how the printed guide sheets work.

Aside from the grip mats, there are a lot of fabulous new products being released. I feature three of those products on my cards today. Those products are:

Special Discount Code! I do have a code for you to use at Waffle Flower that will give you 10% off your order. Just CLICK HERE and make sure that code “ALLISON” is entered at checkout. Note that this discount code only works one time, so if you have already used this code and received 10% off an order, it won’t work again. However, the link will still get you to the store! There are also thumbnail links for all the products below.

As mentioned above, I do have a new YouTube video, which includes a lot of information about the grip mats, as well as the process for making the backgrounds of these cards. You can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.

I do want to point out that I made a very in-depth video when the grip mats were first introduced last year. These new grip mats do the exact same things as the originals, so I really encourage you to watch that video first, especially if you’re not already familiar with the grip mats. You can CLICK HERE to watch that video.

One of the big changes is that the 4.25×5.5 grip mat has been replaced by the new 4×4 grip mat. And, the 8.5×8.5 mat has been replaced by the 7.5×11 grip mat. All other sizes remain the same, and all of the updated grip mats are linked below in the thumbnails.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

For my first card, I used the Daisy Background Stencil to create my background. I used the new large grip mat to hold the stencil and my ink pads. I used Raspberry Bliss and Clementine inks from Pinkfresh Studio. How gorgeous are those colors?? This background made me so happy that picking the Oversized Smile die was a no-brainer. The pink glitter card stock just kicked it up a notch. The subsentiment comes from the matching Oversized Smile stamp set. I finished the card with some white pearls in the centers of all the daisies.

My second card features the same Daisy Background Stencil with the same color inks. I just made it a lot more saturated, and I also cut down the contrast in the design by inking over the white lines with lighter pink and orange colors. I used the new Oversized Postage Matching Die to create the stamp shapes, and then I used a few stamps from the Oversized Postage stamp set. The “From Me to You” is from the Oversized Hugs stamp set, and the “first class mail” stamp is from the original Postage Collage Stamp Set. The “hi” is from the Oversized Hey Hi Hello Print die set, and I cut it from black glossy card stock. I think this card is so cute, and I love the bold background.

I hope these cards and video bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
