Hello, friends! I am excited to be able to share some cards that I made featuring the brand new Splendor Release from Simon Says Stamp! This collection features a lot of spring-themed products, plus some new ink colors and a bunch of additions to the Rainbow Splash line of products.

I have a new video to share with you, which features two of my cards using one of my favorite stenciling techniques. For today’s video, you can CLICK HERE to view on YouTube or watch it below.

NOTE: All Supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features the new Mosaic Tulips Stencil. This is a set of three stencils. I used a masking technique, which you can see in my video, to color the flowers with different colors. I used Distress Oxides for this card in the following colors: Shabby Shutters, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Saltwater Taffy, and Bundled Sage. For the third stencil, I used Slippery When Wet Lunar Paste, which is a gorgeous shade of gold. I then created my Birthday Wishes die cut using vellum and gold card stock to tie in with the paste. I added some of the new 3D Foam Strips to the back of this sentiment to pop it up on my card base. I finished the card by adding a few leaves from both the Aurora Blooms die set and the Grand Corner Leaves Die.

My next card features a stencil set that came out in the fall called Layered Sunflowers. The sentiments are from the new Birthday Basics Stamp Set. You can see how I used different colors for the stencil in my video

I used Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes  for this card in the following colors:

  • yellow: Sunbeam, Citrine, Lemonade
  • orange: Cantaloupe, Sherbet, Melon
  • turquoise: Seafoam, Surf, Salvaged Patina (Distress Ink)
  • blue: Marine, Cadette, Polar Bear (Altenew)
  • green: Sprout

This last card was not in the video, but it features the same Mosaic Tulips Stencil as the first card above. I used Salvaged Patina and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks to blend onto a light blue card base. For the third stencil, I used Hero Arts White Pearl Paste

I also used the new Beautiful Dove die on this card. I cut it from some gorgeous White Lava Holographic Cardstock. This ties in so well with the shimmer from the pearl paste! The bottom, smaller sentiment strip is from the new Fancy Happy Easter Foil Transfer Cards. You can foil these sentiments in a laminator or foil machine, but I left mine black. I paired it with an older sentiment strip which comes from the Reverse Some Bunny Sentiment Strips

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today! Be sure to check out all of the other products that are in the Splendor release. Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
