Hello, friends and happy weekend. Today, I am sharing the new Christmas City Holiday collection from Yana Smakula and Spellbinders. This is a fabulous addition to Yana’s City Holiday series! I especially love the new Mansard Roof, which completely changes the look of the original City Holiday set.

If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the Spellbinders UK website.

I started my card by cutting the main house structure from the original City Holiday set from gray card stock. This structure is three stories, so you could have a tall four story structure by adding the new Mansard Roof. I chose to cut off the third floor and replace it with the new roof. I cut the roof from dark gray card stock and the chimney (part of this new roof set) from the same lighter gray card stock as the house. All the details on the lower part of the house come from the City Holiday set. The exception to that is the black flower boxes and greenery, which come from the Everyday Windows, Curtains, and Flower Boxes (part of the Everyday City Holiday Die Bundle).
The adorable street light comes from the new Wrapped Up City Holiday set. For the sentiment, I foiled one of the new plates from the Holiday Hugs Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die set. I foiled it directly onto the yellow window with black opaque foil. I fussy cut a white snowbank and added it to a navy card panel and then added the house and light on top. To finish the card, I added some pearl embellishments to the centers of the bows, along with tiny white circles to the sky to represent snow. These were from my stash – I keep these little circles when they pop out of certain dies. You never know when you’re going to need them! By the way, my card measures 4.75″ x 6.25″.
I hope my card brings a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
