Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I have several cards to share today featuring a few new collections from Spellbinders – the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby collection and the Sending Hugs collection. My cards all have one thing in common today – the new Ribbon & Trim die set. This is a really versatile set – one of those “keep in your stash forever” type of sets. I share several different ways to use these dies. My cards also feature the following main products:

I do have a new YouTube video sharing these cards. You can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube, or you can view it below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the  Spellbinders UK website.

First up is this sweet baby card. I shared this in a previous blog post, so you can check out all the details there. But you can also see me assemble it in today’s video. I used the ribbon and scallop dies from the new Ribbon & Trim die set to both separate the sections of my card and give it a finishing touch at the top and bottom. I also used the Baby Accessories die set and the Baby Blocks 3D Embossing Folder from the new collection.

My next card features several products from the new collection, including the Baby Accessories die set (for the bottle), the Baby Blocks 3D Embossing Folder, the The Hundred Acre Wood Press + Foil Plate, and the Ribbon & Trim die set. This time, I used the double stitched ribbon die to create a “mitered” frame for my panel. I love how the frame came out, and you can see how I accomplished this in today’s video

Just like on my first card, I used a sentiment from the Little Smiles Sentiments Press Plate and die set. I also used another sheet of patterned paper from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby 6 x 8 Paper Pad. As I pointed out in my last blog post, this collection is another fabulous collaboration with Simple Stories.

Also, just like on my first card, I used Spellbinders Alabaster card stock for the background panel and blocks. This color just goes so well with the patterned paper versus using a stark white. The bear and the bee come from die sets from last year’s original Classic Pooh collection, which happened to come out one year ago in January!

My next two cards feature the new Sending Hugs collection. This is the Darling Dog, and she really is darling because she looks like my dog Maggie! I used the presents and party hat from the Birthday Bear set, also from this collection. The sentiment is from the new Classic Mouse Happy Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die Set. Yes, there is also a new Classic Mouse collection this month! I hot foiled this sentiment with white foil on black card stock

Aside from the dog, which takes center stage, the other star of this show is the double stitched ribbon die from the Ribbon & Trim die set. This time, I cut a bunch of ribbons from different colors of card stock and used them as paper strips to cover my back panel. I love the texture that the stitching gives versus using plain paper strips.

My last card today does not feature any ribbon or trim dies, but it will hopefully make you smile. This is the Congrats Cat from the Sending Hugs Collection. I cobbled this funny sentiment together using three different stamps from the Favorite Side Effect Stamp & Die Set. Remember, that is from the new This is Life collection, which I love so much. You can see the cards and video that I made with that collection HERE. I don’t know about you, but I feel like we are already at day 100 of January 2026. Now, if this was actually me, I would be double fisting pints of ice cream, but in the words of Tim Holtz, you do you!

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
