My card today features the Craft-A-Flower: Prairie Roses Layering Die Set. This is a beautiful die set that also includes a lot of greenery. Where is all of that greenery on my card, you might ask? I decided to stamp it instead! I used the stamp set from the “Truly Amazing” bundle, and I partially stamped just the leaves using Ocean Waves ink. In order to stamp them in the right places, I did assemble the flowers first so that I could come up with my layout. I die cut the pieces from white card stock, and then I did some simple ink blending with Puffy Heart ink. This die set features Altenew’s Keyhole system, so these flowers were really easy to assemble.
Let’s talk about the centers of the flowers because that’s where the real star of the show is! These also started with white card stock, but then I pounced Mayan Gold Shimmer Relief Paste to color them gold. I did the same with the die cut sentiment, which comes from the Versatile Greetings set. I am in love with this Shimmer Relief Paste! It is such a gorgeous gold, and it is so smooth and buttery.
To finish off this card, I rubbed the shimmer paste all around the card panel before adding it to a white A2 card base. I used the best tool in my craft room – my fingers! Once I was done washing my hands (haha), I then added Light Gold Pearl Dots, which are a perfect match to this particular paste!
I hope this card brings a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
