Hello, friends! I have some fun cards to share today, along with a Distress Oxide technique and some new accessories that Glassboard Studio just released. My cards today feature the new Ski-son’s Greetings collection from Spellbinders and Simon Hurley. I have a new video sharing these and several other cards, and you’ll see the new MagInk Tray and CraftCatcher in action, which are the two new accessories from Glassboard Studio (see graphic below).

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

The colorful card base on this first card is one of the panels I made with Distress Oxides on glossy paper. This technique is so easy and fun and so different from other inking techniques. You can see how the technique works by watching the video. The rest of this card features the following products from the new Ski-son’s Greetings collection:

This second card features the new Ski Lodge die set. The blue background is the Snowfall Shimmer BetterPress Plate, which I hot foiled with Cobalt blue foil. I foiled this on blue paper, but I did come in with blue inks to darken it up. The sentiment is from the October Clear Stamp of the Month. This month’s clubs are still available for new subscribers (open until October 27th).

My third card features the new Fountain Wishes die set. This is part of the Happier Hour Collection. The scoop of ice cream and everything in the glass is from a panel of Distress Oxides on glossy paper. I don’t know of many other techniques that would create this kind of movement and flow – I thought it was perfect for the fountain drink! For the card base, I started with some floral patterned paper in colors that complemented the fountain drink. I then cut a piece of turquoise card stock with one of the dies from the Torn Paper Edges set. I found some small floral dies in my stash that looked like the ones in the patterned paper – those are what I added to the bottom of the glass. The sentiment is from the Fountain Wishes Sentiments set, which is a BetterPress plate. I hot foiled it with white foil.
In my video, I share two other cards featuring elements from the Sip Sip Ole’ Die Set (also part of the Happier Hour Collection). I had previously shared these cards in a blog post. CLICK HERE to get to that blog post for all the details for those cards.
I hope these cards bring a big smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
