Hello, friends! I am excited to be sharing some cards that I made with the new  Happy Camper Release  from Simon Says Stamp. This is a fun release, and it was even more fun because I met up with some fellow Simon designers earlier this month, and we got to craft together! I have several cards to share today, and then I will be back on Friday with more.

Note: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features the new Dual Diamonds Die. This is just one cover plate, but I made it look like a layering plate set! I used the die to cut three pieces of cardstock – pink, orange and white. I offset these three pieces to form this design. I cut down the edges and attached this layered piece to a navy card base. I then created a frame to cover up the edges and give it a cleaner look. I created the frame with two dies from the A2 Rectangles set. I added the Happy Wishes and the Eucalyptus Leaves, and I just love the result!

For my second card, I utilized the cutout pieces from the first card and the Dual Diamonds Die. First, I glued all of the white pieces to a white card base in the exact pattern that the die creates. I used the white piece from the first card to help me do this (before I assembled that card). I then took the pink and orange cutout pieces and glued them on top of the white pieces to create this fun pattern. I added the Whirl Dragonfly and the Giggle Happy Birthday which I cut out of black glossy cardstock.

For my next card, I stamped the new White Christmas Text  onto Kraft cardstock. I cut the layers for the Bold Flower die set out of various shades of red cardstock. After determining how I wanted all of these layers to fit together, I stamped each of them with the White Christmas Text, making sure that they were all in the same orientation. That way, when they all fit back together, the words would still be continuous, not only with the other layers of the flower, but also with the background. I created some leaves with the Basil Leaves and Long Leaf Pine Sprig dies. I trimmed the panel down with the Postage Stamp Edge Frames and adhered it to a white card base.

This next card features the new CZ Design Lol + Emoji Die. I used the Repeating Circles Die to arrange all of the emojis, and then I added the LOL, which I cut from black glossy cardstock. There is a coordinating stamp set with some fun sentiments. I stamped the “I’m so glad you think I’m funny” sentiment on the inside of this card.

My last card features the new Blossom Bursts Embossing Folder and Fancy Thank You Die. I first embossed a piece of blue metallic cardstock with the folder and then trimmed it with my Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer. This Tim Holtz card stock has a Kraft core to it. I took a sanding block and sanded down all of the raised edges to expose this core. I love this technique – it is so easy and effective! I cut the shadow layer for the word die from the same blue paper and scuffed up the edges with the sanding block. I cut the thank you from some pastel glitter paper. I added some vellum leaves and a few jewels to some of the flowers, and the only thing I wish is that this photographed better. It really is so amazing in person!

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Be sure to visit Simon’s website to check out the entire Happy Camper Release.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
