Hello, friends and happy Friday! It is a very happy day, since I get to help introduce the new Just Add Cake Birthday Card Making Kit from Spellbinders! I know some of you have probably already seen sneaks of this kit, and I know there is a lot of excitement around it. There are tons of goodies in this kit to help you make fabulous birthday cards, including seven (yes, SEVEN) die sets. I have a video today which shares my unboxing of the kit, along with three cards that I made. There are also some add-ons in the collection that are available for this kit. I used both the Stripe Right die and the Color Block Accent Arches in very subtle ways on my cards today.
Let’s move on to the cards and the video. You can CLICK HERE to view the video on YouTube, or you can view it below.
NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the Spellbinders UK website.

My first card features the Chompster die set from the kit. Isn’t he adorable?? Other items from the kit that I used include the Just Add Cake stamp set and matching die set, the Confetti Drop 3D Embossing Folder, some of the ColorWheel Card Stock, and a few of the sequins.

My next card is a fabulous masculine card that I made with the Birthday Brew die set. I also used a couple of the sentiments from the Just Add Cake stamp set, along with a matching die and some of the ColorWheel Card Stock included in the kit. I used the Stripe Right die to create the vertical tone on tone stripes on the card base, and I love how it almost just looks like I used an embossing folder!

My third card features the Garden Party die set, which has a large flower that can be made into a shaker with the shaker domes that are included in the kit. Be sure to watch the video to see how I added texture to the back of the shaker. It’s hard to see it in this picture because the sequins are covering it. You’ll also see in the video how I used the new Color Block Accent Arches in a unique and fun way. These arches were designed to be used with the Essential Arches die set, which is an older set of nesting dies. I used some of the card stock included in the kit, along with one of the stamped sentiments (cut with the matching die).
That is it for my cards today. Like I said, there are seven die sets in this kit, so this is just the beginning for me. The kit is now available at Spellbinders!
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
