Hello again, friends! I am a bit late in sharing my cards for the November “And Everything Nice” release from Simon Says Stamp. I shared one on my Instagram feed a few weeks ago, and I am now sharing that and another card here on my blog. Both cards also feature some products from last month’s “Sugar and Spice” release. Did you catch those release titles? Sugar and Spice…And Everything Nice!
Do you know what else is nice? All the Black Friday deals going on this week! Simon Says Stamp has had some fun offerings this week that I’m sure will be continuing through the weekend. They had their popular buy a gift card and get a bonus gift card offer earlier this week. They have their Limited Edition Gift Giving Kit, which is an incredible deal. And now they have some Holiday Door Busters! These are brand new holiday exclusives with door buster prices, for a limited time only. Who knows what tomorrow may bring??
Note: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card features the new Wispy Pine Needle Frame Embossing Folder. Instead of embossing plain card stock, I embossed a piece of patterned paper. This is a from a new paper pack that I recently bought – the Furry Friends Backgrounds 8×8 Paper from Stamperia. This is such a fun collection of backgrounds, and I thought this green one was so pretty and perfect for this embossing folder. Once I embossed the paper, I rubbed my Bundled Sage Distress Ink cube over the raised pine needles. I also inked up the edges of my panel with Black Soot Distress Ink. I cut the Etched Berry Branch die from some green cardstock and inked up the edges with Bundled Sage and then Forest Moss. I did cut the berries off of the branch and placed them higher up on the panel. Otherwise, they would have been right next to the cardinal, and I wanted those little pops of red to be spaced apart. I also cut a few extra berry stems to add to the bottom of the panel. As for the actual berries, I cut those from the Berry Stems die set.
The cardinal is from the Beautiful Cardinal die set from last month’s release. I used Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Ink to add shading to some light red card stock. I also inked up the outer edges of the bird with Black Soot just to make him pop a little bit more from the background. The sentiment is also from last month’s release – the EZ Strips Reverse Vintage Christmas. For a little added detail, I did add some black and white splatter, as well as some sparkling sequins.

This next card is one that I previously shared on Instagram, and I am still so in love with it. This features the new Merry Cover Die Plate. I first cut strips of cardstock and glued them onto an A2 card base. I cut the cover plate twice from white cardstock, adhered the two layers together, and then adhered the stack on top of the striped card base. I then took my favorite product from last month’s release – the Wintertime Celebration Plate – and cut select elements out of some scraps of paper leftover from when I made my strips. I then glued those around the panel, making sure to spread the colors around. The “Christmas” subsentiment comes from one of my many, many reverse sentiment strip sets.
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
