Hello, friends! It is release day at Spellbinders, and I’m excited to be sharing some projects featuring several of the collections. First, I have a fun Halloween gnome that I made with the new 3D Felt Décor Collection, designed by my friend Sandi Maclver. I also have some cards that I made with the adorable new Merry Mischief Collection. Over the next week or so, I will also be sharing cards with the new Bibi’s Musical Notes collection. If you love music themed cards, especially guitars, be sure to check that out! And, of course, there is Steamboat Willy who is all ready for Christmas in the new collaboration with Simple Stories – the Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas Collection. You’ll see a little sneak of that collection at the end of my video today.

Today’s cards feature the following main products from the new collections:

Let me introduce you to Fergus, the star of the 3D Felt Décor Collection. I am so excited for my friend Sandi MacIver, who designed this collection! The collection comes with two embellishment sets. I used the Autumn & Halloween Embellishment on my gnome, but there is also a winter set with snowflakes and Christmas foliage. I kept my Fergus pretty simple, mainly because he is supposed to be dressed up as his favorite Halloween treat – candy corn. I really, really intended for the body (underneath the coat) to be yellow, but I used the wrong die while I was cutting my yellow felt and then didn’t have enough left. Hopefully, the idea gets across anyway! By the way, Fergus is 6.5″ tall.

Sandi has some fabulous how-to videos, so I didn’t spend much time in my video going over how to make him. I also don’t really stitch at my desk – it’s something I like to do when I’m on the couch or even on the go. I did go over a couple specifics for my gnome in the video, though. This adorable card features the new Deck the Paws set from the Merry Mischief Collection. The white panel, which I tilted just a bit on my card base, is from the Bow & Bell Scallop Frame Set.

This is another adorable card featuring the Merry Mischief Collection and uses the following products:

I hope these projects bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
