Hello, friends! Yes, it’s me…again! It’s time for the August monthly club kits from Spellbinders! The clubs this month are absolutely wonderful, especially if you love an ocean theme.

If I haven’t mentioned it once or twice or a hundred times, I love Spellbinders clubs. One of my favorite aspects of their clubs is that you can cancel at any time. If you don’t like the club kit next month, just cancel it! The subscription window for new members ends on the 27th of the month, assuming that the club kit(s) has not already sold out.

EARLY ACCESS

Are you already a club member or thinking of joining one of the clubs? One of the great benefits to being a club member is that you have early access to new products before they become available to the general public! Just CLICK HERE to see all of the goodies being released this month. There are so many things that I love, and I’ll be sharing some of my favorites over the next few weeks.

Let’s move on to my cards for today. I do have a new YouTube video sharing these cards. You can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube, or you can view it below.

The August Large Die of the Month is called “Splash Tales.” It features a fish in the most adorable bag, but there are also dies to create an underwater scene, including a mermaid . There is a die in the set to create a string for the bag, but I used my own twine, and I think it turned out really cute. The sentiment comes from the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month, which is called “Paper Splash”. I didn’t use any of the dies from that set on this card, so the Clear Stamp of the Month would have worked, too!

The Small Die of the Month is called “The Deep Blue Two,” and it features the cutest little scuba divers. I have been wanting to make a pop out card like this for some time, and I decided this die set was the perfect excuse to finally try! It was really easy – you can see how it came together in the video. One thing that I didn’t notice until the card was done and photographed is that I think I left off a piece on their backs that would represent the oxygen tanks. Oops! Sorry, little guys! I personally would be terrified to scuba dive, so what would I know?!

By the way, the reason I don’t have a picture of the front of the card is because it’s not finished yet! There is a bonus die set that comes with the Deluxe Caboodle club this month called “Fish Friends,” which I will be using to finish the front. I will be sharing that on my blog in about a week or so, so stay tuned!

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
