Hello, friends and happy Friday! I hope you all have had a great week. I am popping in today to share some cards featuring the new North Pole Friends Collection from Spellbinders and Simon Hurley. This is a really cute collection, and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to make a tunnel card like the ones that I made last summer. I have more tunnel cards planned over the next few days, and I’m hoping to have a new video up this weekend, so stay tuned!

NOTE: If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the  Spellbinders UK website.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card today features two sets from the North Pole Friends Collection – the  North Pole Sentiments and the  Polar Bear Pals. I will be showing this card in an upcoming video, but if you want to see how this came together before then, you can check out my tunnel card video from last year. This card uses the same measurements as those cards.

For the openings/windows of my tunnel card, I used a scallop die from the Heartfelt Thanks & Scallops Die Set for the front. I used a stitched rectangle from the Nested Postage Labels Set for the red layer. And then I used a plain rectangle die for the white layer. For the very back of the tunnel card, I hot foiled the Snowfall Shimmer BetterPress Plate with white foil. The benefit of using specialty dies to cut the openings of my tunnel card is that it gave me the cutout pieces to use on another card.

This second card uses the cutout pieces from the tunnel card. I took the light blue scallop and red stitched rectangles and glued them to a teal card base. Instead of using the plain white rectangle cutout from the tunnel card, I stamped it with the Buffalo Plaid Press Plate using black pigment ink. The adorable Santa comes from The Clauses die set, and I popped him up on foam tape. The sentiment is from the Merry Messages Plate & Die Set. I hot foiled the sentiments onto black card stock with white foil and cut them all out with the die.

I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
