Hello, friends! I am popping in to share a fun card and a magical technique for BetterPress Plates. It has been too long since I last played with shimmer powders, and it always makes me happy to see the fun and surprising results.

I show the process of making this background in my video, so it’s easier to watch than to read an explanation. The trick to making this technique work is to first heat emboss a panel of watercolor paper with the Press Plate. I used the following colors of Lindy’s Gang shimmer powders: Lizzy’s Cuppa’ Tea Teal, Spill The Tea Teal, Sassy Sapphire, and Prima Donna Purple. The last two colors come in the Drop Dead Diva set. The first two colors come in the new shaker bottles and can be bought separately, or as part of the Tea & Crumpets set.
The snowmen come from the Snow Notes die set, and I just think they’re so cute. I used the musical notes from one of the Classic Mouse Borders to embellish the card. The beautiful sentiment comes from the Merry Messages Plate & Die Set.
