Hello, friends! I hope you are all doing well. I am really excited that the release of the Spellbinders’ Say Cheese Classic Mouse Collection is finally here! I first saw this collection when I went to Creativation in early April and fell in love. Steamboat Willie is such a classic character, and now that he has passed into public domain, we get to enjoy all the fun! Just like the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection, this is a collaboration with Simple Stories. Although I don’t use any of the Simple Stories products on my cards today, there is so much paper, ephemera, and other fun products that go with the collection. You know I’ve already added the patterned paper to my “must buy” list!

There are six die sets and one BetterPress plate in the collection, and you’ll see them all on my cards today. I will have another blog post and video soon where I highlight just the Press Plate, but you’ll see one of those cards at the end of this post.

NOTE: If you live outside of the United States/North America, you might want to head over to the Spellbinders UK website

I have a new video sharing my cards today. You can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube, or you can view it below.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

My first card is a sweet card for a baby boy. It features the following products:

For the background, I created some tone on tone texture using the anchor border die. I added a frame around the card to make it look nice and clean – I used the largest die from the Perfect Touch Rectangles to create that frame. The sentiment at the top is from the fun Magic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set that came out last year. There are so many perfect sentiments in this set that match this collection! You can watch this card come together in the video.

My second card is a bright and colorful birthday card. It features the following products:

As I mentioned above, I don’t have the patterned paper from Simple Stories yet, but I do have paper from some of the other Simple Stories collaborations. This striped paper in the background is from the Crafty Babe Collection Kit. I stamped the “birthday wishes” using an old MFT set from my stash and added the “happy” from the Classic Mouse Alphabet. I love this alphabet set so much. There is also a Numbers & Punctuation set that I show in my video, and Spellbinders is offering a bundle that includes the alphabet and the numbers.

My third card is a sweet mini slimline card. It features the following products:

You can see this card come together in my video, where I also show a bit of deconstruction that happened to get the card to the way it looks now! I promised in my video that I would let you know the size of this card – it is 3.5″ x 6″. The polka dot paper that I used for the skirt is from a really old paper pack that has been in my stash forever. That is why I never get rid of paper – you never know when you’ll find a use for it!

This last card is a sneak of one of the cards that I made with the new Press Plate. I will have more information and a video coming, but here are the products from the collection that I used for this card:

I hope these cards bring a big smile to your face today. As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
