Hello, friends! I am excited to share one of the new May collections from Spellbinders called Classic Road Legends. Even though this collection is perfect for making masculine cards, you’ll see that I made a perfectly feminine card, as well! I created cars/cards for both him and her, featuring the Muscle Car and the Classic Car.

Spellbinders is having a huge ColorWheel Giveaway, where one lucky winner will receive the “Full 48 ColorWheel Cardstock Pack 12″ x 12”, which includes five sheets of each color! I have a new video sharing my cards today. You can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube, or you can view it below.
NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.
My first card features the Muscle Car. I used several different metallic and shimmery papers from past boxes from Your Paper Insider. I also used some glossy papers on the hood. The white stripe on the hood is something that I did myself – you can see how I customized that detail in my video.
There are several fun backgrounds and stencils that are part of the collection, but I created this fun background myself. All you need is a white card base and two different colors of cardstock. The sentiment comes from the Cruisin’ By Sentiments stamp set, which is part of the collection.
My second card features the Classic Car. I really wanted to show how these cars don’t have to be for masculine cards, so what better way to do that than with LOTS of flowers?? This beautiful patterned paper is from the new Simple Stories Crafty Babe Collection Kit, I was able to find some floral dies that looked similar to the paper. I made the framed opening with the Essential Modern Ovals set. I used one of the sentiments to create a license plate for the car. I think this would be a fun card for a girl’s 16th birthday!
I am still playing with this fun paper pack and another new collection called Take Note. You can see some of the fun dies in my video.
I hope these cards bring a smile to your face today. Leave me a comment and let me know which card is your favorite! As always, I appreciate you visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a crafty day,
Allison
