Hello, friends. Today’s post is dedicated to Emily, the creator of Stamping Bella, who sadly passed away recently. Emily’s amazing team has invited folks to join them today (Dec. 9th) in creating something using Stamping Bella products. And, they have asked us to share our creations across social media with the tag #stampingbella.
I have been in love with Stamping Bella products ever since I started making cards several years ago. You will always recognize a Stamping Bella stamp – they are so distinctive and heartwarming. Although I have not been doing a lot of stamping/coloring lately, I always look forward to seeing the designers’ creations in my Instagram feed. As for my small collection, I have a particular affinity for the “bundle girls,” so I chose to use two of them for my cards today.

Making the First Card
I really wanted to keep these cards simple because, really, the bundle girls are the star of the show. I decided to watercolor with my ZIG markers. I used waterproof pigment ink to stamp the Bundle Girl With Falling Hearts onto a piece of watercolor paper that I had already trimmed with one of the Elegant Rectangle Dies. After I finished my coloring, I cut another piece of watercolor paper with the next size up Elegant Rectangle Die, so that I could mount my colored panel on top of it. I then adhered both of these onto a Kraft A2 card base. I cut my sentiment from glossy black card stock, and then I finished the card with a little bit of shine to the hearts using Wink of Stella.

Making the Second Card
I colored the Bundle Girl With a Snowdrop the same way I did with the first card, using my ZIGs. I happen to have a matching die for this stamp – I believe Stamping Bella stopped making dies a couple years ago. For my background, I embossed a piece of Kraft card stock with the Optical Arches embossing folder. I again used black glossy card stock for my die cut sentiment and finished the card with some Wink of Stella on the flowers.
I think these cards turned out really sweet. But it’s hard not to create something sweet with these two cuties, right? Below is another card that I made a few years ago featuring the Bundle Girl With a Snowdrop. Not as clean and simple, right? But she is still adorable against that shimmer powder background.
My heart breaks for Emily’s family and friends and the Stamping Bella family. I hope they will continue her legacy, but no matter what happens, I will always have these stamps to treasure.
