Hello, crafty friends! I am excited to be sharing inspiration from Waffle Flower’s February Sneak Peek Club Kit. If you saw my post last month, Waffle Flower just started this new club which allows members to play with products about a month earlier than they are released to the general public. There are also other perks to being a club member – click here to read all of the terms and conditions.

If you are a dog lover, you are going to love the products in this kit! Please take note: If you sign up for the Sneak Peek Club now, you will not receive this February kit – you will receive the March kit, which will ship on March 6th. But, all of the products included in the February kit (except for the bonus sentiments) will be available at the Waffle Flower website for everyone on March 5th. If you have your heart set on this kit, there is good news – I have a giveaway, which is detailed at the end of this post!

Let’s take a look at what came in the February kit!

Oversized Friend Print Die

Best Friend Die

Paw Prints Stencil Duo

Subsentiment Friends & Family

Black Foam Strips sample sheet

Bonus Sentiments (this is a kit exclusive)

Making the First Card

Note: all supplies that are not part of the kit are linked in the thumbnails at the bottom of this post.

For my first card, I used five of the pups from the Best Friend Die Set to cut from various colors of card stock. I used the Outlined Circles Die to highlight the dogs on the card, putting each of them in its own circle. I used the black foam tape from the kit to pop each dog up for dimension. I also used the Paw Prints Stencil Duo to stencil a paw in the middle of one of the circles. The “Happy Barkday” is one of the bonus sentiments from the kit, and the “to you” sentiment is from the Sentiment Additions Combo set

Making the Second Card

My next card features the dogs from the Best Friend die set again. This time, it’s in the form of a condolence card. I thought the rainbow paper from JJ’s Rainbows Paper Pad would be perfect for this. I used the eclipse method to die cut several of the dogs out of the rainbow itself and then pop them back in place with dimension. So, you can see them, but it’s very subtle. I cut the main dog out of the same glossy black card stock that I cut my Oversized Hugs die from. The “Sorry For Your Loss” is one of the bonus sentiments from the kit.

Making the Third Card

For my first two cards, I mixed a few products from my personal stash with the contents of the kit. But, I like to show you that you can make a card with just what comes in the kit. Everything that comes in the kit is on this card! Both sets of subsentiments, the black foam tape, my favorite three dogs – everything. The only thing I did not include on this card is the shadow layer for the friend die.

I had a lot of fun making these cards, and I know these products will get a lot of use. We have two dogs, and my husband would probably get more if I let him! I like giving him cards “from” the dogs for his birthday and Father’s Day, so I already have some fun ideas for those. I hope these cards put a smile on your face today. Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win the kit! And while you’re at it, let me know which card is your favorite. Thanks so much for visiting today.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison

  1. I can not say enough about how much I love this kit. The city I live in caters to our sweet little babies. You have created some beautiful cards. I love them.😍

  2. I love the best friends card kit. I have friends and family that have a pet that has become a family member. I actually have a rescue dog that my children call the “nanny dog” because she gets between my grandchildren and anything that she might think is dangerous for the. She follows the grandchildren wherever they go. The best friends cards are absolutely beautiful and very creative.

  3. Hi,
Using JJ’s rainbow paper as a Rainbow Bridge reference was a genius idea! I’d not heard of that until Best Friends Animal Sanctuary introduced me to the concept years back. I love your cards and think the products to make them are superb.

  4. Love the cards. The first has to be my favorite. We have a Yorkie so this would be great as a Father’s Day card to my hubby from his furry child and wife. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  5. You gave us such a great example of cards to view! What a great variety, you are so creative. I’ve never seen a set geared around dogs like this. I have three and love them like family so this is perfect
