Making the Card

Nothing out of the ordinary with this card, unless you are not already familiar with the Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-Up. If you’re not, this video is a great introduction. I made my pop-up using my favorite patterned paper when it comes to anything superhero-ish – Sunny Studio’s Heroic Halftones. I created the backdrop using the Platform Pop-Up Add-On and the City Block Background stamp from My Favorite Things.

I stamped and colored the marvel-ous critters with my OLO markers. I had to get creative with the images because my son’s favorite character is Hawkeye. I think the one I made into Hawkeye was probably intended to be Iron Man. I happened to have this quirky stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs which has a Cupid holding a bow/arrow, so I “borrowed” it for Hawkeye. I also had to turn Superman into something from the Marvel universe, so I came up with Vision – the little yellow jewel on his forehead is the Mind Stone! I used some strips of heavy acetate from some leftover packaging to make Vision and one of the thunderbolts float in the air. Spiderman is just climbing buildings, as usual.

As for sentiments, I used the Celebrate Everything stamp set from My Favorite Things for the front. I used the Phrase Builder die to cut those sentiments out. I then used the Mixed Wishes Greetings stamp set from Mama Elephant for the back sentiment. I cut that out with one of the dies from the Add-On set.

I hope this card put a smile on your face today. Thank you so much for visiting my blog – I always appreciate your support.

Wishing you all a crafty day,

Allison
