Hello, crafty friends! I am excited to be sharing some new Simon Says Stamp products that are part of their new Holiday Sparkle Release! There are many great products in the release, so be sure to check out all the rest of the goodies, too.

My first two cards today feature the gorgeous Layered Vine Embossing Folder, which can be used for so many occasions. Embossing folders are so versatile because there are so many techniques you can do with them.

Making the First Card

I started with a panel of white glossy card stock and embossed it with the Layered Vine Embossing Folder. I then sprayed it with several different distress sprays, including: Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Sprays; Crushed Olive and Broken China Distress Spray Stains; and Merry Mint and Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stain Sprays. I sprayed these in layers, letting the first layer dry before moving onto the next. After I was done with the sprays, I let the panel dry and then rubbed my Crushed Olive Distress Oxide Ink pad over the embossed area, which makes the vines stand out more.

I used the Clustered Leaves Die to cut the Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum, and then I layered the Outline Clustered Leaves, which I had cut from olive card stock, over that. I stamped my sentiment onto olive card stock with VersaMark Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. I finished the card with some jewel embellishments

Making the Second Card

I started this card by embossing a panel of dusty pink card stock with the Layered Vine Embossing Folder. I then ink blended several shades of Distress Oxide Inks around the edges of the panel to create a glow effect in the middle. I used Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot. I used the Berry Stems Die Set and cut the elements from Kraft card stock and several shades of gold card stock. I cut the berries from a dark pink mirror card stock.

The new Bold Christmas Acetate Sentiment Strips are really cool because you can foil them in a laminator with deco foil. The strips on my card were taken one step further. I initially foiled them in the laminator with gold deco foil. I then foiled the negative piece that was leftover with a Therm O Web toner sheet – this is how I ended up with gold letters and a black background (the toner sheets are black).

Making the Third Card

My third card is a simple infinity shaker card that is made by using leftover packaging from stamp or die sets. I used the So Many Presents Cling Stamp as the background. I stamped it with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then colored the gifts with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used a holiday confetti mix for the shaker bits, and I added in some blue confetti from another set, as well as some clear sparkly confetti.

I am in love with the new Luxe Glitter Card Stock! I used the black with the “merry” word die, and although it’s not obvious in the picture, this glitter card stock is so cool and picks up so many different colors even though it looks black. The little “make today” sub-sentiment is from the Magical Wishes Reverse Sentiment Strips.

That’s it for my cards today. I really love how they turned out. I hope they put a smile on your face.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and be sure to check out all of the other fun new products in the Holiday Sparkle Release!

Wishing you all a crafty day,
