Making the Card

I started out by stamping the background onto black card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I trimmed this panel to 3.25″ x 8″. I stamped the Santa and present images with VersaFine ink, colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and fussy cut them out.

I die cut all of the elements of the car and assembled with glue. It took me awhile to find the sentiment I wanted for the license plate, especially one that would fit, but I finally found a random “Merry” stamp in my stash. You can customize your plate however you want – it’s probably the most fun part of the car. I then arranged Santa and the gifts and adhered those to the car, as well.

I cut a white piece of card stock to cover the bottom of the black panel and then adhered the road die that I had cut out of black card stock. Finally, Santa’s cool car was popped up on the road with foam tape. The red Ho Ho Ho’s are from my stash of Concord & 9th sentiments that I have on hand for Christmas cards. That’s the great thing about their Mix & Match stamp/die set – you can stamp them in different colors, die cut them all at once, and have a bunch of sentiments ready to go!

After adhering the finished panel to a white card base, my card was complete! It was pretty simple and a lot of fun to make. Thank you so much for joining me. Leave a comment and let me know what your Santa’s license plate would say.

Wishing you all a crafty day!

Allison
