Hello, Everyone! I have a cute card to share with you today. I was inspired by the Butterfly Reflections, Ink April mood board. It just screams “Spring”! Have you played along with the challenge yet? You still have a little bit of time, so don’t wait for your chance at a $20 gift card to BRI’s online shop. Share your projects on Instagram with the hashtag #brimoodboard.

My card has a very simple design, but I think this funny sentiment from Paper Smooches makes it unique. It is a very fitting sentiment in my family, since our 9 month old puppy still “happy tinkles” when she gets excited. So sad that Paper Smooches is no longer around, but you can still find their stamps and dies if you search the internet. In fact, Butterfly Reflections, Ink still has a good selection of Paper Smooches products.

The star of the card (aside from the sentiment) is this adorable gnome from My Favorite Things’ You Gnome Me set. I colored him with Copic markers and then cut him out with the matching die. I also colored the flowers that are in the boot from the same set.

I cut a panel of white card stock using MFT’s A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. Because of the silly sentiment, I chose to use MFT’s Peek-a-boo Wonky Window die to frame my scene. Unfortunately, this die set is retired, which is sad because it’s really fun. I used the wonky window to cut the frame in my panel.

Assembly was pretty straightforward. I popped my panel up on craft foam, and then I centered it over an A2 white card base so that I could position the flowers and figure out where to stamp the sentiment. Once that was done, I glued the panel onto the base, and then glued the gnome on top.

To finish the card, I added a few sparkling clear sequins and some yellow Nuvo Crystal Drops in the center of the flowers. This card cracks me up – I hope it puts a smile on your face, as well!

Thank you so much for joining me today. Don’t forget to enter the BRI mood board challenge! We look forward to seeing your creations.

Wishing you all a crafty day!

Allison
