Hello, Everyone! Today I am sharing this fun card featuring products from Penguin Palace

Dreaming of Sunshine

It is snowing AGAIN here in Colorado this week, which has me yearning for summer. So, I decided to make a tropical, relaxing scene using these adorable stamps from the Aloha Hawaii and Summer Sunshine stamp sets. I love cat stamps, but sadly, I am highly allergic to them in real life. These cats are living the life, and for some reason, they remind me (in a good way) of my very spoiled, mischievous puppy.

Making the Card
I really wanted to just highlight the cats, so the rest of my card is fairly straightforward. I cut a panel of white card stock using a die from Lawn Fawn. I then colored it with a smooshing technique using distress ink in several colors of blue and beige to represent sand, water and sky.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers. I then cut them out with the matching dies. The sun stamp comes from the new Mysterious Egypt set.

I finished the card with the funny “Chillax” sentiment from Paper Smooches, which is now retired.

I love how this card takes my mind off of the weather outside and makes me smile. I hope it makes you smile, as well! Thanks so much for joining me today. Be sure to check out all of the fun products in the Penguin Palace online shop..

Wishing you all a crafty day!

Allison
